I like quotes that are simple — standing astride the line that divides the profound and the trite. I find the lines in songs, poems, movies, novels, television, and other arenas of popular culture. I carry the lines with me for a long time before printing them. The backgrounds are all one-of-a-kind inkwipes; the foregrounds are hand-set letterpress prints made from antique wood type.
